Product Redesign - Colgate Toothpaste
The purpose of this project was to take an existing product and update its look, packaging, and advertising campaign.
I first researched the current product (Colgate Toothpaste). I then came up with and created a style guide, using Adobe InDesign, that would help me as I went through the rest of the project. I decided on colors, logos, fonts, and layouts to be used for the project.
The next step was to come up with a new package for the product. I took measurements from the original package and modified them slightly to work with my new design. I created a design in Photoshop for the package and printed it on heavier cardstock-type paper, which I then formed into a box for the toothpaste. I then photographed the new and old packaging for a comparison.
I then used the style guide to create an advertisement for the toothpaste in InDesign. I finalized all the pieces together into one document and created a PDF to display all the work I had done in one thing.
